Swapbox, a San Francisco startup, could solve age-old time constraints for post offices in the Bay Area, according to pfsk.com.
New automated postal kiosks allow customers to send and receive packages outside normal business hours. Customers can drop off packages inside Swapbox, enter a delivery address and select a shipping speed via an interactive touchscreen.
The tracking system notifies customers where a package has been shipped and when a package has arrived. Users have 24 hours to pick up delivered items or choose from other options offered in the system. Customers can pay per package delivery fees or monthly fees for unlimited service, the article said.
